Unroll the puff pastry, leaving it on the sheet of baking paper, and draw the shape of a Christmas tree with a knife. Cover with slices of cheese, followed by a layer of raw ham, cooked ham, or salami. Put the sheet of puff pastry on top and cut out the shape of the tree. Remove the excess pastry, which you can use to make other snacks. Cut the sides of your tree into strips, leaving about 2-3 cm in the centre. Roll the strips up, brush with beaten egg and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for about 25 minutes, until it is golden brown.
