Steam the potatoes. When they can be pierced with a fork, remove them from the fire, peel them and mash them with the potato ricer.
Add eggs, grated parmesan, 150 gr of cooked ham, salt, pepper, lemon peel and nutmeg.
Butter a springform pan and preheat the oven at 180°C.
Distribute half of the mixture on the bottom of the pan, put the slices of mozzarella and the remaining ham cubes on top of it. The final layer is the remaining potato mixture. Then, spread breadcrumbs and butter flakes on the surface.
Bake for about 50 minutes, until the surface is golden. If necessary, for the last minutes, grill in the oven.
Remove the gateau from the oven and serve it warm.
