Thinly slice the apples and remove the core and pips. Place them on a baking sheet, bake in a fan oven for 15 minutes, until they become a little dry and crispy.
In a saucepan, reduce the tomato sauce with extra virgin olive oil, to get a thick and creamy texture. Then add salt, 2 tablespoons sugar, a pinch of chilli pepper.
Separately, fry the chicken frankfurters in a pan with extra virgin olive oil for 10 minutes until they are golden brown.
Serve the chicken frankfurters with the sauce on the side and a paper cone of apple chips.
