Vignola is situated between Modena and Bologna, in a wholesome and lushly green area in the foothills of the Apennine mountains in the region of Emilia: this is where Citterio produces their Granfiocco, their High Quality cooked ham. Only the best Italian pigs’ thighs from selected farms, prepared by the specialists of Casa Citterio. The pigs’ thighs are cooked slowly in steam ovens for several hours, each thigh in its own pot, with constant monitoring of the temperature and humidity.

The Granfiocco is a High Quality Cooked ham with a flavour that is both full-bodied and delicate. One of the specialities of Casa Citterio. Available in both noce and pressato formats.
